I mentioned how there was an employment opportunity that was pretty much guaranteed to me. I have made a post here before talking about issues I was having at work and having my job essentially changed overnight into something I don't like.
My preference is to usually let SEP manage Windows Defender and the Firewall, rather than set a policy to forcibly turn them off. I tested with the settings set to off and on, and it doesn't seem to matter I guess they just needed to be toggled. I also rebooted the machine to make sure that theĭidn't change back to an alert status, and all is good. I was finally able to get it to start working correctly by toggling the network discovery and file and printer sharing options under Advanced Sharing Settings. Was giving a firewall alert (saying that it needed to be turned on) even though SEP was shown under Security and Maintenance as the current firewall provider and was set to "on." This PC had been running Win 10 for a while, so I started looking though another PC with a fresh Win 10 install and subsequent 1703 update. I have the same version (.0100) but on one PC the
